Questions, bugs or ideas — we read everything.
hello@preoops.comPreOops is a browser extension that learns the contexts you work in — Work, Personal, a client, a project — and quietly warns you when something looks like it belongs to a different context: a file you're attaching, an account you're using, a recipient you're sending to, or text you're pasting.
No. PreOops looks at account and username fields to recognise which account you're signed in with — never your password, and never cookies or login tokens. Everything it checks stays on your device.
No. Learning, matching and warnings all run locally in your browser. If you enable optional Chrome sync, only your contexts and settings travel — via your own Chrome account. Activity and suggestions never leave the device.
To see which site you're on, show the context indicator and run its checks. By default PreOops asks permission per site — it only activates where you enable it. There's an optional "run on every website" mode if you'd rather enable it once; everything still stays local.
When you install PreOops, it starts in Learning Mode: it watches which sites, documents and accounts appear while a context is active and suggests links — without interrupting you. Turn warnings on when you're ready, and keep learning on in the background.
Always. Every warning has "continue anyway" — it's your call. A built-in cooldown means the same mix-up won't nag you repeatedly, and dismissing a suggestion teaches PreOops it doesn't belong to that context.
That's exactly what it's for. Create a Work and a Personal context — optionally nest clients or projects under them — and PreOops keeps files, accounts and messages from crossing over.
Yes. Students use it to keep courses, school accounts and assignments apart — so the right work gets submitted to the right course, from the right account.
Yes. PreOops checks recipients, attachments and pasted content in Gmail, Outlook and other webmail — and warns if you're replying from the wrong account or attaching a file from another context.
Yes. AI chats are shared spaces that don't belong to one context — PreOops watches what you paste or upload there and warns when content from another context is about to go in.
Everything is visible in the dashboard. Remove a single signal, dismiss a suggestion, use "Forget everything" per context, or reset all data entirely. Uninstalling removes the rest.
Open chrome://extensions, find PreOops and click Remove. All locally stored data is deleted with it. (We'd love to know why — hello@preoops.com.)
